Who this is for
You price up bigger jobs and want to keep track of what's out with customers. The Quotes area lists your quotes by status and shows the draft screen where a quote is built.
Time: 5 minutes. You'll need: to be signed in.
The quotes list is live. The draft screen below is a v1 layout — saving and sending a quote aren't wired up yet, so treat it as a preview of what's coming rather than a working send. This guide will gain the send steps when they land.
Steps

1. Track quotes by status
On Quotes, the tabs split quotes by status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Not sent yet |
| Awaiting | With the customer to accept |
| Accepted | They said yes |
| Declined | They said no |
| Cancelled | Withdrawn |
Filter by expiry or value, and chase anything expiring soon.
2. See how a quote is built
Open a quote to see the draft screen: customer and site details, a VAT setting, a description, and a line-items table with quantities, unit prices, net, VAT and totals.

3. Understand the VAT setting
Quotes are your invoicing to your customer, so VAT is handled here (unlike Scarlett's own subscription). Each quote can be Exclusive, Inclusive or No VAT — pick what matches how you price.
Verify it worked
Your quotes show under the right status tab, with the correct totals and VAT treatment.
Troubleshooting
Save draft / Send don't seem to do anything. They're not wired up in this version — the draft screen is a preview for now. Use it to see the layout; sending will come in a later release.
What's next
- Work with customer profiles — the customer you're quoting.
- Track jobs from enquiry to done — turn accepted work into a job.
