What Scarlett is

Scarlett answers your business phone when you can't, takes the caller's details, and puts the job in your calendar. She's an AI receptionist with a natural British voice. When a call comes in that you don't pick up, it forwards to Scarlett — she answers as your business, works out what the caller needs, captures their name, postcode and the job, books it if she can, and writes it all into your dashboard before you're down the ladder.

This page is the two-minute picture of how she works. The rest of the guides show you how to set each part up.

What she does on every call

  • Answers in a natural British voice, as your business.
  • Tells the caller the call is recorded and analysed by AI — she says it in the greeting, every time, because the law requires it.
  • Captures the caller's name, postcode, what the job is, and how urgent it is.
  • Sorts the call into one of six intents: new enquiry, quote, booking, urgent, complaint or marketing.
  • Writes a summary, a title and the key facts into your call log.
  • Books the job into your calendar when she can, and can text the caller a confirmation.

What she won't do

Scarlett is deliberately built not to make things up:

  • She won't invent a price, a service or an availability you haven't given her.
  • She won't pretend to be human if asked directly — she says she's "the receptionist".
  • She won't send information to any number other than the one the caller rang from.
  • If a caller objects to being recorded, she stops the normal flow, takes just a name and number, and tells them someone will ring back personally.

Everything she knows comes from what you teach her — see Train Scarlett on your business.
